About Rosanne

Rosanne Yang guides clients with a practical eye to achieving company objectives while complying with increasingly complex laws and regulations.

With 5 states implementing new or updated consumer privacy frameworks in 2023, each taking a varied approach, Rosie devised a business-friendly blueprint for clients to use in breaking down key issues, research, and implementation details and streamlining compliance efforts.  The blueprint enables clients to build on their current privacy compliance programs, focusing their efforts on leveraging and adapting those programs to the new regulatory directives.

She also has extensive experience developing and executing intellectual property strategies to assist her clients with clearing, registering, licensing, and enforcing their rights both domestically and internationally.  She assists her clients with the use and licensing of third-party intellectual property rights, as well as the rights of publicity and privacy.  She assists clients with product design and development collaborations.

She advises on a broad range of marketing and advertising matters, including third party marketplace operations; promotional advertising; substantiation of advertising claims consistent with FTC, FDA, CPSC, and other regulatory frameworks; influencer advertising; and strategic affiliate partnerships.  She prepares website terms of use and privacy policies; internal corporate guidelines and policies on such topics as advertising and records management; and creates internal training materials on intellectual property, pricing and advertising, and privacy compliance.

Rosie leverages her experience across privacy, IP, and advertising to bring a comprehensive view to issues, such as the broad cross section of legal topics involved in the use of machine learning, including generative artificial intelligence (AI).

With over a decade of in-house experience, Rosie understands the importance of her clients’ operational procedures and challenges, as well as their risk tolerances, and works closely with various members of clients’ teams to facilitate practical problem solving.  She represents clients across a wide array of industries, including retail and consumer goods, education, and cryptocurrency.

Rosanne is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professional (“IAPP”) and certified CIPP/US.
